Happy Monday all!

Today we are sharing with you a very easy dessert recipe that is delicious and a crowd pleaser!

***Disclaimer: this in no way is healthy hehe. We make these every now and again but definitely not every weekend!

Super quick, super easy, and everyone always loves these!

My mom made these for us in high school and ever since then we have made them, changing the recipe slightly. We love these because we can top them with anything and everything we might have in our home. We usually exclude nuts from this dessert because of a nut allergy in our family.

What you will need:

  • 1 batch of your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe: in all honesty, you could buy the chocolate chip cookie packets from the store that you add an egg and butter to, or you can make the batch from scratch. If you need a chocolate chip cookie recipe, check ours out HERE! The cookies will turn our chewy and gooey and delicious!
  • 1 cup of milk chocolate chips
  • 1 cup of butterscotch chips

  • Β½ of shredded coconut

  • 1 can of condensed milk

  • Other topping ideas: walnuts, almonds, white chocolate chips, M&Ms, Reese’s pieces, marshmallows, chocolate sauce, etc. The list can go on and on! We have a nut allergy in our family and so we make sure to exclude any nuts!

Instructions:

  1. Prepare your dough for 1 batch of chocolate chip cookies. If you need a recipe, check ours out HERE.

  2. Spread the batter in a greased 9x13 baking dish.

  3. Bake for 12-15 minutes. This might range depending on your oven, but I bake it until the edges are beginning to brown, but the dough is not all the way cooked through.

  4. Remove from oven and immediately add chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, coconut, and condensed milk. (And any other goodies you might have lying around your kitchen!) TIP: Make sure the condensed milk is poured evenly over the cookie dough and at the end so it can cover what you added to the cookie dough.

  5. Place back in oven for about 10-15 minutes. Again, this will range depending on your oven. I like to watch for bubbling of the condensed milk and browning of edges.

  6. Let the dessert cool after you remove it from the oven. Cut into bars and enjoy with a glass of milk!

This is what the dough looks like after I bake it 10-15 minutes the first time.

Shredded coconut on top of the chips! Tyler doesn't love shredded coconut so we compromise and only put it on half :)
