Peppermint Sugar Scrub
Tyler and I absolutely love essential oils!
We use them daily and diffuse them in our home.
Peppermint is a particular favorite of ours.
It not only smells AMAZING, but it relieves our anxiety and nausea, as well as helps keeps us alert and awake!
We also love finding amazing ways of incorporating essential oils in every aspect of our lives.
This great DIY is a simple way to do so!
I (Jen) love having smooth, healthy, and glowing skin.
And since I love knowing what my family and I are using on our bodies, I find that creating simple recipes like this one ensures pure and few ingredients.
I personally scrub my hands and feet (is this weird?? Haha!) every morning.
I find that the peppermint wakes me and kickstarts my energy while the coconut oil softens my skin.
This also makes for fun “Spa Nights” with my sweet Tyler!
You can keep this in your shower or under your sink for easy access.
I am telling you, it is a great way to keep your skin looking and feeling fantastic!
So here is what you will need:
¼ cup of coconut oil melted
¾ cup of granulated sugar
10 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil
5-10 drops of Lemongrass Essential Oil (optional)
1-2 drops of Green Food Coloring (optional)
I personally love mixing the Peppermint and Lemongrass oils, but you are welcome to try any combination that you desire!
Instructions:
Mix coconut oil, sugar, and essential oils.
Mix in food coloring if you desire. I added some green food coloring to keep with our St. Patrick’s theme!
Divide mixture into small containers. Make sure that these containers have lids so that the mixture can stay fresh for longer.
These make a great gift for friends, family, and coworkers!
