Autumn Stovetop Potpourri

Autumn Stovetop Potpourri

Happy Autumn everyone!

The air is getting more crisp by the minute and we love it!

Our home is a little hectic at the moment.
In between full time jobs, school, and moving into our new home, sometimes it feels like we barely have time to think!

Which is why this little DIY we are sharing with you today is so important!
We made a stovetop potpourri and it smelled sooooo yummy and Ty and I were able to get cuddly and enjoy each other’s company and we were able to forget about our stresses for a time.

This made us want to share this recipe with you so that you can bring the smell of Autumn into your home and relax a little by your loved ones!

Enjoy our little video! We also included the ingredients and instructions here. Just scroll down!

You can use any ingredients you have around your home and even add other fruits or spices.
Let us know if you come up with your own concoction!

One last tip: after you are done simmering your fruits and spices, use the remainders as compost instead of throwing it out.

Ingredients:

  • 4 sticks of cinnamon

  • 1 tbsp of cloves

  • 1 tsp of allspice

  • 1 apple - sliced

  • 1 orange - sliced

  • 2 tsp of vanilla

  • 8 cups of water

Instructions:

  1. Place all of your ingredients in a pot and simmer! We left ours simmering for a while and the smell was divine! (Can this be easier??)
